3 minutes at each of the 3 stations: Boxing, Weights, Floor; Followed by 4 minutes at each then 5 minutes at each.
9 rounds total.
As the rounds increase in time, so do the weights! A progressive workout for those looking to push their boundaries.
Suitable for all
First timers to professionals, take Power at your own pace, choose your weights and set yourself a challenge.
Boxing doesn’t have to be complex.
In fact, we’ve made it real easy to learn by having 6 punches, each with its own number. Once you learn the punches you’ll be throwin’ like Rocky in his prime.
5 minutes before workout; the 6 punch breakdown and workout format.
Take your booked spot, hand wraps on, (and gloves on if starting on the aqua bags).
The bell indicates work time; first few minutes will be warm up exercises.Each round, minute-by-minute instructor led exercises working at your own rate.
Transition through all 3 training zones at least twice; aqua bags, fit benches and track work.
Little rest periods and tough minutes...3 minute cool down period / optional victory dance.

HOW MANY CALORIES DOES BOXING BURN?
According to a 2011 study in Medicine & Science in Sports and Exercise, boxing workouts burn an astonishing 12-20 calories per minute (that’s up to 1.5x more calories than interval-based running, indoor cycling, or high intensity rowing). That means boxing is THE best bang-for-buck workout out there, burning 600-1000 calories in every workout.
WILL BOXING MAKE ME BULKY?
Absolutely not. Due to the high-intensity nature of the workouts, you will not increase muscle mass, instead you will shred fat and shape lean muscle, in particular your upper body and core.

DO I REALLY NEED WRAPS?
Yes. Wraps are required in the bag room. They protect your knuckles, thumb and wrist when striking the bag. You can purchase quick wraps from reception for £9, or you can bring your own. First timer packages include a free pair of easy gel hand wraps.
WHY DO YOU USE AQUA BAGS INSTEAD OF TRADITIONAL PUNCH BAGS?
Aqua Bags offer many benefits over a traditional punch bag.When you strike the Aqua Bag, the bag ‘absorbs’ the impact of the punch, reducing the impact on the joints, tendons and ligaments. The teardrop shape allows you to throw uppercuts,which you cannot do on a traditional bag, and the shape also makes it easier for the trainer to see you, and you to see the trainer. We are also installing the newly released Aqua Bag Training Sensor, which has an app directly connecting you to your punches and work rate to really monitor and track your boxing progress.
